Clean Room Moulding
A 'cleanroom' environment, typically used in manufacturing or scientific research has a low level of environmental pollutants such as dust, airborne microbes, aerosol particles and chemical vapours. Our cleanroom has a controlled level of contamination that is specified by the number of particles per cubic meter at a specified particle size.

Also called multi-shot moulding, this is a process where 2 or more materials are "overmoulded" within a single moulding cycle and must be processed on specialized moulding machines. This allows you to increase product features, aesthetics and assembly costs. A typical everyday product is the soft touch handle on a toothbrush.

This allows us to transfer a 2-D image onto a 3-D object. Accomplished using an indirect offset (gravure) printing process that transfers an image from the printing plate (cliché) via a silicone pad onto a substrate (surface to be printed) allowing us to print on otherwise impossible products. Also used to deposit functional materials such as conductive inks, adhesives, dyes and lubricants.

Assembly can be carried out on the main production floor or in our class 100,000 clean room. If annual volumes allow it is possible to automate the assembly to reduce the cost for our customers.

Here we fill a complete electronic assembly with a solid compound for resistance to shock and vibration, and for exclusion of moisture and corrosive agents. When using surface-mount technology, we use low Tg potting compounds such as polyurethane or silicone, to avoid breaking solder bonds as they harden and shrink at low temperatures.
